protecting seat and graphics from knee braces

I just started riding with Asterisks Cells.

GOOD: I am convinced they've saved me from injury.
BAD: They're tearing up my gripper seat cover (down where the seat meets the tank).
UGLY: I'm on a strict budgey.

Is there anything I can do (that is cosmetically acceptable) to protect that part of the seat and preven further tearing? Or do I just need to go with the ballistic seat cover that is made to withstand knee braces?

How have other knee brace wearers dealth with this?

Thanks in advance.

For graphics - One Industries sells clear shroud stickers that you can put over your graphics.

You can take and old pair of cotton sweat pants, cut the legs off, and use them for over-socks. Pull em on over your braces using just enough of the leg to cover top to bottom with some left to tuck. You should have plenty of room for your riding pants over this.

I may do this when it's cold, but I have come to the reality that braces and graphics don't mix....and in my case, I let the braces win.
