I have a 2000 Yamaha PW 80 and want to if it has a rev limiter and if it does how do i take if off

I don't think that it has a rev limiter per say, but I found that the stock jetting was so rich that it would blubber on the topend and not rev out. Try leaning out the jetting. All circuits needed to be leaned in my case. Also make sure that the airfilter is clean, and you can try removing the snorkels.

Try and get an ignition from an older model, they had higher limits on them. I'm thinking early '90s. There are a couple of real good threads in the mini forum for PW80s. Look around.

i have a pw 80 and want to gat a fmf silencer and expansion pipe but dont know what year it is i know its between a 1994-1999 would it matter if i i got one for a different year and also im wondering if a fmf silencer would work with the stock pipe?
