I just replaced my carb and can't find the air filter in my garage...I got to wondering: is there an aftermarket air filter that will fit? Like a cone-style that will just clamp onto the carb?

You can order one from peeweecycle.com that will fit. I think that they sell No-Toil filters for the PW.
I never tried a cone filter, but you can always measure the carb inlet and check the auto parts store.

No Toil and Pro Element make filters for the pdub.

they will need serious rejetting with a pod filter. hard to start as well. you can get a dual layer filter aftermarket that fits inside the stock air box...a new filter is less than $10 from yamaha. many on that auction site in a pw50 poerformance pack.
