Quick question from someone who has almost know idea (yet) how wet clutches function...
If you're looking at your KDX from the clutch case side... As your clutch gets worn out, does the engagement position of the clutch arm move more clockwise? or anti-clockwise?
The clutch's friction plates will get thinner by use, so the arm moves clock-wise, but I think it won't be spectacular. Where you can observe changes is the lever's freeplay. The arm's freeplay will get bigger.
Heat:
I think heat don't affect much, but be careful not to burn your clutch!
I had a feeling it was that way, but there are enough things in dirtbike mechanics that are a bit counterintuitive and so I just wanted to make sure... I put a hydraulic clutch in and if the arm moved anti-clockwise as the clutch wore, it would hit up against the slave cylinder rods max travel... I'm glad to hear it will creep in the proper direction over time :)
