They are the taper cut inserts and I can crank them all the way down and the slide right out of the bar. Good thing I already ordered some threaded bar end inserts that you just bolt the handguard to. You tap the end of the handlebar and screw the insert into the bar then bolt the handguard to the insert. Should be way more secure. [/QUOTE]
