Someone out there will know the answer to this question.
I have a 1991 KDX200. The front fork has a dampening rod in it, which has 3 large holes drilled into it at the bottom and 2 small holes at the top. What affect does each of these have on the fork action, and why. Will these affect the plushness of the fork.
If I add thicker oil, is that affecting the compression or rebound damping .....
The racetech web site has a great article on dampening-rod vs. cartridge forks. The orifices in the dampening-rod forks are explained in detail along with the effect oil has on them.
