I an thinking about racing motocross again. My son is starting to race so I though I may give it a shot again. My question is I have not raced in 25 to 30 years, so what class should I start back in. The track closest to where I live has a Moyocross Beginner, Intermediate, Novice, Open Amateur , and Over 40 Amateur . Also would a 250 cc bike be good?

Yeah, that's a tough one. You should go and watch all the classes and then decide where you fall in. The over 30, 40, 50, 60, etc. are "usually" local fast guys from days gone by. If that's you great. Even different tracks around here attract different rider skill levels. Sometimes even the day of the race makes a difference. Seems more show up on Saturday and Sunday gives a little more room.

I will do that, I raced alot when I was younger and with my son starting to race I will have plenty of time to practice and just see where I can fit in. Thanks for the replys.
