Quick preload spacer question

I just installed my .40 FRP fork springs on my '03 200. I measured and cut the PVC to be 10mm longer than the space between the top of the springs and the bottom of the cap when screwed all the way down (with spacers installed) as I have read to do on here. My question is, when I cut my spacers I noticed that they were a little shorter than the stock metal spacers that were origionally in the forks, is this normal? I can't tell you an exact measurement but I would guess they were about 20~30mm shorter than stock. Also, the FRP springs were very close to the origional spring length. I just wanted to check and make sure I didn't do anything wrong.

That is normal. The stock preload on a KDX is between 20 and 25mm. If you set your new preload to 10mm then your stock spacers will be 10 to 15 mm longer than your new spacers.

Can't say you didn't do anything wrong..;), but mac is correct with the 'That is normal' statement.

Enjoy your new suspenders.
