Race Gas???

I am just wondering what race gas is? Where can you get it. I am a pilot and I have heard of guys buying 100LL aviation gas and using it in bike is this what it is? What are the benefits. I know av gas has more lead and is more purified...

don't run aviation gas do a search and find out why.as far as getting race gas where are you located?you can check local bike shops or race tracks or just give vp a call and ask for the nearest distributer.race gas lets you run higher compresion and in return you get more power and better throttle response and keeps you safe from engine damaging detionation also its much more consistant making it easyer to jet you bike

Local KTM dealer recommended a 50/50 pump/race mix for my Dad's '02 380 EXC. Of course pump gas generally varies in quality...He noticed some slight pinging on the last batch of Chevron he got.

If you aren't going to tune/jet specifically for race fuel then there is no real point in using it if you are not experiencing knock. Generic (non-oxygenated) race fuels and AvGas do NOT give you more power on their own.
