I'm just getting back into racing and my rear end likes to hop side to side. I thought I read somwhere that I should decrease the compression damping a bit and also decrease the rebound so this is what I'm doing(is this right?). I believe the stated cause was the rear end was packing?

Also by saying decrease the rebound damping by my terms I am making the rear end rebound faster
Am I way off base?
Thanks

True rear end swap is fixed with correct sag and faster rebound. Compression needs to be set so you bottom atleast 1 or 2 times a race IMO.

Make sure front is correct. I tryed alot on Juniors bike but found the front being out of balance caused the rear to get out of sink over the whoops.

You need to find a good section and start setting it up. write down everything and compare.
