What is the difference between a red 1984 kdx200 and a green one? Were there less of them made than the more common green bikes?

No difference besides the color. I don't have any figures on production, but I am sure there were far less red ones. I wanted to buy a red one new but had to 'settle' for a green one back in '84. BTW, there were white KDX's also ('86 and '89, I think) but they seemed more common than the red '84's.

Matt,
Red ones are like green ones. Only red. No difference in anything else. A fella told me that they made one red one for every dealer in the country. Someone else told me they made one red for every three greenies. Very hard to get replacement plastic. Green stuff is almost free.

I believe the Polar White bikes were only available in 1988. I liked the white ones. Of course, I hated green until I started collecting the 'A' series bikes. Now I can't get enough.
