reed cage question

Any good rules of inspecting reeds/reed cages? I think my fiberglass reeds are alright, but there not sealing on my reed cage. I tried flipping them and they still dont seal, so that leads me to belieive that getting new ones wont help. Will this affect my pwerband? Could it be my reed cage? i just got a fat check from work and am willing to spend it on a v-force, but would rather pay off the work i had done on the bike earlier this summer.

If they are not sealing then they are no good. Prolly not the cage. Sometimes you can flip them sometimes not but they will greatly affect the way your bike runs
