I own an 88 CR500 and have heard that the stock reed cage sits in the intake too far. Do I move it back? If so, how far? Where can I get a spacer if needed?

try a moose torque spacer that fits between the reed block and cylinder. I believe that they are 1/2 inch thick. I think the web site is, moose-racing.com. Or, you could have your local cycle shop order them.

Thanks! I'll take a look. Has anyone experimented with moving the reed cage back? What results should I expect?
