Since one of my stolen bikes just got recovered the plastics have some scratches on them. Instead of replacing them because none or broken I was thinking if it was possible to maybe wet sand out the scratches with a 1500-2000 grit paper and then buff them out? I will be replacing the graphics but was curious if anyone has tried this?

If the scatches aren't too bad, SOS style pads do a GREAT job of getting any dirt out - When I do it my plastic LOOKS brand new, even though its scratched up.
