Man, when it rains, it pours.
Took it apart last night and on top of measuring the excessive piston/cylinder gap it also has up/down movement at the connecting rods big end bearing.
So I need to know if the rod usually is replaced when that bearing is worn out.
thanks

You need a complete rod kit; Rod, Crank Pin, Rod Bearing, and both Thrust Washers

So what happens? The rod opening around the bearing gets enlarged from the pounding?
Today the folks at MXSouth talked me into a rod kit, but thanks shr for the help.
I'm such a cheapskate, I was just going to get the bearing!
