RESONATOR volume re-sizing * anyone try yet? *

I've read a few threads on this topic,,, yet have not heard of anyone trying it yet.
Has anybody increased the volumeritic size of the resonator via spacers or anything similar. Any noticable change in bottom end power.
I see that Dennis Kirk sells a " larger power valve cover " for the 00-01 CR250R (page 173 of the 2001 book) for better low-end response.

Been there, done that. My demented mechanic and I had gutted the stock pipe. This gave the KDX a noticeable hit in the powerband. The spacer on the resonator helped mellow out the hit. Later the modified stock pipe was replaced with a DG. The spacer was left in place. There was no noticeable change in the way the bike ran with the spacer. If you have an FMF pipe, I doubt a spacer will do anything. Save the money and go buy some beer instead.
