hi guys!i have a yz 125 2002 and i need a suggestion about the shim stack of my fork which is :
24*0.25
24*0.15
24*0.15
22*0.15
20*0.15
18*0.15
24*0.10
16*0.15
15*0.15
13*0.15
11*0.3
i think is too stiff from mid to low speed but at high speed is good, in fact i have headshake in deceleration, the oil level is 10 cm and my weight is 65-70 kg (whith the gear) and my riding style is central front forward.....what do you think if i change the shim stack to this:
24*0.25
24*0.15
22*0.15
20*0.15
24*0.15
18*0.15
24*0.10
16*0.15
15*0.15
13*0.15
11*0.3
i would change also the shim stack of the midvalve which influence the mid-low speed, right?if i put a stiff midvalve shim stack i can soft the base valve stack which can be a single stage stack which inflence the high speed, right?(mid-low speed by the midvalve and high speed by the base valve)...could you suggest me a mid valve shim stack? In order to solve the problem of headshake i set the sag of the shock at 3,5 cm and the setting of the standard shock is(i mainly ride on fast hardpack tracks):
low speed compression: 5 click opened from all closed
high speed compression: 1 3/4 opened from all closed
rebound: 10 click opened from all closed
sag: 100
what do you think about the setting?
thank you
Bye
