Count me as one of those. I got to see him race the best in the world at Mid-Ohio, twice. For this teenage moto fan, he was bigger than life.

Rich nailed it; the Europeans had to acknowledge that the Americans were catching-up when the "Bionic Motocrosser" showed-up. And the battles with the anti-hero Bob Hannah were epic.
