Hello , I have a RM125 with a 1985 motor and I kinda have some problem with the Low end power , when i hit the power band its just perfect but whenever i go trough a hill the motor start to goes down the the low end and then miss power to stalling if i dont hit the clutch, what could be my problem , also its has a rought idle and its hard to start when its hot, and i my carburetor has been clean , but its old... so i was maybe thinking of buying a recent carburetor like 2000 model... dunno

this year of motor have no powervalve so it doesnt help getting more low end and i think the first gear is too long maybe thats why i have so much problem....

by the way thanks

125's in general and especially older no powervalve ones have not bottom end to speak of. How are your trying to climb this hill, when you say first gear is too long are you trying to tractor up an entire hill in first? Climbing on a 125 is all about speed and momentum, got to approach it at speed and keep the momentum up, not just start at the bottom in first gear and try to walk it up the hill. My 86 will climb anything my son's 05 will so it's not likely the carb if it's in good repair.

my 1985 does the same thing man, not to mention every time i take it out i think the same thing.......1st gear takes forever!!!!!! once in the band gears go by as fast as i can blink. I'm going to be shortening up my gearing to get rid of the lengthy 1st.... i just dont feel it right when u have to downshift to 1st just to get back into powerband.
