RM250 idle problems...

Ok it is a 1987 RM250, How can i get the bike to idle... when ever i let off the gas it just sputters and dies. i have to stay on the throttle in order for it to stay alive. where is the idle adjustment screw on this bike?

If it has a Keihin carb, the choke knob doubles as a idle adjustment knob (thats the way mine is anyway).

is it that little black knob on the side of the carb?
should i push it in or leave it out. or do i turn it?
