FWIW, I read in Cycle News, 9-11-02 Issue, lower right-hand corner of Page 41 where the Yosh Zukis ridden by Kied and Smith use RM250 transmissions (close ratios) in their DRZs.
I don't know the cost of the gear set nor waht years of RM interchange either, but it seem like a good move for those wanting to off-road-ize their RMs by going the other way with DRZ (wider ratio?) transmissions.
Seems not long ago Zuki's off-road head was Mike Webb (Tom's brother), and had an office in SoCa (714-996-7040). Or better yet, Yoshimura is in Corona or Riverside, CA, if anyone wants to call and find out the real scoop.
