Will cylinder porting give much help to a 2001 RM250?
It's got a PSI reed and carb and a FMF Gnarly Pipe

Yes it definitly will. The '01 engine is weak on top and the mid needs help. Eric Gorr's Mo Power everywhere helps a lot. My '01 has a much smoother powerband nad lots of over rev now with his porting.

I noticed something on mine I took thatelectronic breather off for the powervalve and just put the black hose on the cylinder.My rm pulls on top realy well now.The 02 suzuki had the whole plugged shut but the 03 now has the hose on the breather. Ishould tell you though i have an fmf sst pipe

I had my bike ported early this year and end result was great. No neck snapping mid range hit. Bike pulls through the whole power band smooth with better over rev. I also have V-Force reeds and just put on a FMF AOF ignition and SST pipe. Even better throttle response now. My porting was done by EG, got the "Mo-Better", best mod so far for the money.
