My son is on a (new to him) RM85 big wheel, after coming off of a CRF100. He is great on this thing and runs it like its meant to be run. We bought this as a little bit of a fixer-upper. The top-end was fresh, but cosmetically it's needed work. My question now...
My son was surprised (as was I) about how easily this thing shifts. On the CRF we could actually feel it click into every gear (you could almost hear it actually). The same for the other 4 stroke playbikes we've ridden. The RM shifts into gears effortlessly and softly.
This is our first 2 stroke and we're learning as we go, but is this normal? (note: I've already changed the gear oil and replaced it with new Maxima 85wt)
Thanks!

Yes this is the norm on most race bikes. The machining is more precice for speed shifting without the clutch

Ok, great. Being a used bike (which wasn't very well cared for), I was a bit concerned. I was just concerned something may have been worn excessively or something. Thanks for the input!
