Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Customer Service

I practice buying from my local dealer. I might pay a little more, but to me it is worth it. I needed some things and after much figuring by my dealer he says that I should just go and get it from the internet. By the time he got it and what he would have to charge it would just be better this way. You’ve got to respect someone who will tell you this.

So I begin the cyberspace shopping. Find all of my stuff from several different places and then try to find a single supplier because I know that I will have to pay shipping. (Nobody ships to Alaska for free). I found all of the items except one at Rocky Mountain MC/ATV. And their prices were right in line with everyone’s. With the things that I have read about them and their good reputation I didn’t think twice about ordering from them.

I called and placed my order. I found that everyone I spoke with was knowledgeable and helpful to a fault. I asked how my things would be shipped and was told UPS. I usually prefer US Mail as I can get delivery at my PO Box. I can’t get mail at my residence. The Postal Service isn’t equipped to deliver. In order to get to my residence it takes a little offroading. UPS has a brown 520 4-stroke where the Postal Service has an ATV. The ATV has problems so I use the PO Box. FedEx has a 450 4-stroke and if it isn’t too muddy they can come out here but UPS never seems to have problems.

The day after I place my order I call back to Rocky Mountain for a shipping number. I then learn that my order is being shipped through the Postal Service to my physical address. OH NO!! Instant headache! I explain my dilemma to them and the lady I spoke to said that she would try and get it changed to my PO Box and she would call me back later. I don’t know what she did but later that day she called and said that my shipment would be going to the Post Office. Low and behold on Saturday my shipment arrives at my PO Box with my physical address still on the package, along with a hand written note to deliver to the PO Box. I don’t even want to know how or what she did to make this happen but it sure worked for me. This is taking customer service to a whole new level.

I had ordered one of my items from one of the other common internet suppliers. Wouldn’t you know they did the same shipping fiasco. After telling me UPS they shipped US Mail to my residence. The difference between them and Rocky Mountain was that they just said well there is nothing we can do. Maybe you can imagine what a fiasco it was to get my shipment. There might be nothing they could do but believe me, there is something that I can do!

I have the names of everyone I spoke with at Rocky Mountain and intend to send them a letter with my thanks. Rocky Mountain you have a very satisfied customer in Alaska! I will be doing my mail order business with you. Again, this is taking customer service to a whole new level!

Dan, I'm glad to hear about your experience, but I think everyone is missing the really important piece of info above. I think I'm in the wrong career.

Ditto. I have bough several shipments from them and all arrived quick and nothing missing. I have not had to deal with any problems.

Up here the Postal service just can't seem to deliver anything other than regular letter type mail to a mailbox. A package to your residence out in the bush is an enormity for them. They just aren't equipped to get it done. These things mean nothing but headaches! As long as it can stay at the Post Office for me to go get then it is okay. But anything beyond that.....

UPS and FedEx make things happen. Especially UPS!
