The Saturday race is a qualifier format. No timekeeping equipment needed since the race sections are timed by the club. When you reach the start of a race section, the checkpoint guys/gals will log you in, then give you a countdown to your start. Blast off until you reach a check-out where they stop you, and mark your finish time on your scorecard. Trail ride to the next check-in. Log in, countdown, go fast, check out...... repeat until finished.
Sunday will be a traditional timed enduro. Way more fun to have to figure out how fast to go.
So far it's gorp and I planning on going. We both have computers, so if we get 2 rows worth of riders , I'll take the earlier row with the slower riders. Let gorp and the fast guys have to catch us before they can pass us. :moon:
We'll figure out the logistics of the weekend on this Saturday (2/25) while we're warming up at the 500. (We're set to meet a guy from the Tulsa area to get some riding in.)
