It's intresting to read your opinions. You have no idea how far women's sports have come. When I was in school we had to play half court basketball because they thought it was too much of a strain on a female body to play full court, (or so they said) and in volley ball we wern't allowed to spike the ball. Same reason. I'm guessing that no one here was in sports before title IX was passed. They had to make a law saying girls could play too. That was about the same time they they had to pass laws saying a woman could have a bank account in her own name if she was married (Equal Opprotunity Credit Act) and a woman could have a job she could physically perform. (EEOC) My point is the some people in charge of making decisions about what part of the track women can ride grew up in that era and have held tight to their old beleifs. It's going to take time and it's going to take the women to stick together with a united voice to be heard. That is what the WML is for. It's working for the big picture one step at a time. The good news is, the Womens Pro Class rode on Sunday in front of 30,000 spectators. Usualy they ride on amature day. Miki Keller fought for that and I think it was great P.R. whether the women got to ride the whole track or not. From where I stand the glass is half full, I have seen it empty. :) There are other sports WMBA, the Women's Soccer League...to name a couple, LPGA, Womens Tennis...these sports had people actively working for recognition. We need to do the same thing
