I just went from a 97 KLX300 to a 2003 KDX200. Crashed it this weekend and when I picked it up the handlebars looked bent. But when I took a closer look, the left rubber mounted handlebar mount had slipped out of it's "socket". I gave it a tap and it seems to be ok but... I was wandering if these mounts require adjusting (especially after a crash), or were they designed to slide out of place instead of bending the handlebars?
The stock rubber cones are pretty whimpy. If you do a search on cones in the Canadian Daves JustKDX forum, that should give you plenty of information. You can either run a harder replacement rubber cone or go with solid alluminum.
