if u can and want to u can cut it open, sand the inside so the rust will come off and then weld it back together. Or you can put a whole bunch of LCR in it and wait for like day (not sure how its gonna do for your engine though)

PS- these are just my opinion on how u CAN do it, it might NOT be the RIGHT way to do it, if i were you i would just buy a new tank (plastic if you can)

get a bunch of washers, nuts ,pennys, or even some small chain put it in tank and shake the heck out of it once that is done pour kerosene into the tank and wash it out a couple of times then you should be good to go. :cool:

Not a bad idea, maybe I could make a rock-tumbler device for the gas tank and put sand in there too.
It's a classic, an old TY250, can't go plastic.

i used the kreme (i think that's how it's spelled) liner in my '73 yamaha enduro. that was four years ago, no problems since.
