What should the sag be set for on the front forks ??. I am riding Enduros and at present the fork is to stiff and is bouncing off everything. I believe if I reduce the preload it will help ??

do you measure the sag the same as the shock? Whats the best measuring points? What is the total spacer length for a 470mm spring (to make it 10mm preload or 40mm of race sag)?

Sorry to jack your thread, but I thought you could benifit from this info. too.

Pull the fork tubes down and wrap a zip tie around them close to the dust cover, sit on the bike and measure how far the zip tie moves.

Thanks for the info Fred, I will have to try that today.

BTW - would I stand in attack position or sit in attack position or just sit anyway? with or without my gear on?
