i am about to purchase a grip seat cover for my 1992 kdx200 and was wonder if any seat cover will work or does it have to be for my exact bike, can it be from a newer kdx??

A 1995 and newer seat cover won't fit well on a 1989 - 1994 KDX200. Shop for a 1988 - 2004 KX500 seat cover, if a 1989 - 1994 KDX200 seat cover model is not available. I have a Ceet brand KX500 on mine, and I really like it. It fits real well since the seats are very similar in shape.
I just recovered my 91 seat today. For 30 bucks shipped I bought one off e-bay (seatsandcovers is the user name). It's medium grey and the material is nice and thick, but stretchy too so it installs well. Time will tell if it holds up. The only weak point in the design is the number of seams...
