What is the charge(psi) for rear shock on a 99 rm250. The suz. manual states 128psi, and race tech states 175psi Also would a higher charge have a similar afect as a heavier spring
Thanks

I have used from 145 to 175 with little differance in feel to me. I use 175 in my ride. There may be 175psi in the res but there isn`t a 1 inch square hole from the res to the body so it isn`t putting that much pressure on the piston and shaft.

I adgree-ive heard of people who reckon they can feel a difference but i cant-ive tried from 9 to 12 bar.I used a bladder in a PDS that makes a very big pressure rise due to its smaller volume than the piston set up, and still couldnt feel it.

Guys its just preload.. As a hint.. Run highe rpressures in slower moving shocks, run lower in faster moving shocks, and if its a offroad bike run more pressure to increase the bikes saginf effect.. in MX runing lighter pressure to prevent overpreloading..

Jer
