recently replaced my fork seals and went ahead and changed the oil front and rear- used silkolene 5wt fork oil for both the shock and fork.(5wt was based on racetech gv rider spec.) Is this ok or should I go get specific shock oil and do the rear over again? getting different advice from various places....

It will be fine, unless the rider is top pro class fork oil works.
