shooters - how is this pan?

check out this image and tell me what you think. i took a break from riding for a few laps yesterday and specifically went looking for a shady spot to try a panning at 1/80th with the super sigma 70-200 f2.8 + my new sigma ef500 flash. most came out about like this, but i liked this one the best - i felt it showed the speed and aggression the best. bumped about 10% with velvia vision and some dynamic range added.

That is really nice, would be more nice though if the rider were more crisp.

Yep, I agree. Nice comp. For me pan shots have to be tack sharp, and this one has just a bit too much blur. Keep at it.

yep. 1/80th. clearly, part of the skill is knowing how to match the shutter to the travel speed. this was a pretty fast section.
