If mechanical problems are bothering you maybe park it and fix things that are wrong, do preventive maintenance. I have found the c models to be dependable when taken care of. The trade in value of your 86 is about like my 88. 4 to 6 hundred dollars. I have spent that on mine in the last 3 months. I guess it would be nice to have a new KDX and be able to ride without working on the bike, but making payments on something that is going to depreciate very fast doenst sound so good [/QUOTE]
