I've been researching knee braces for some time now and have decided that Asterisk is the way I want to go.

When I went to the Asterisk web site, they ask the customer to take three measurements on each leg (mid patella, 6" above MP, and 6" below MP) to determine the correct size. However, when I go to web sites that sell Asterisks, they ask for a caliper measurement across the the knee.

Which is the correct measurement method?

Thanks,

John

John, the caliper measurement is just a more accurate tool at the joint, but few people have calipers long enough to reach the sides of the knee joint. I always use the circumforance measurements anyways, just be sure to get an accurate measurement around the joint as that is the most important one. Do your measurements, height weight and age also, and post them here, I will let you know which size.

I was able to find a large set of calipers. My left knee measured 4.625 and my right knee measured 4.75 (I guess I'm deformed). I am 6'3" and weigh 215 lbs - I'm 32 years old.

Thanks,

John

Thanks all. I talked to Billy yesterday and he got me lined out. I ordered them directly from Asterisk (no shipping charge for DRN members). I can't wait to try them out.
