Would anyone have a lead on where I might get a sleeve bearing for a 1980 KDX175. This bearing goes in the middle of the rear shock Uni-Track arm. It is the pivot point for the arm. So far I have talked to FRP, Pivot Works, 2 local bearing houses and McMaster-Carr. Bike Bandit indicates that they might have one, but I'm not sure my whole bike is worth the $93 they want for this one bearing.

This is a bearing simply made up of two short tubes that nest in each other. There appears to have been a fibrous material on the inside of the outer tube that was about half gone. What I have done for the short term is to remove all of the fibrous material and replaced it with a strip of brass. I have "never seize" on all of the surfaces. I am not optimistic about the longevity of this set-up, but I'll let you know. I'd really like to get a 'proper' bearing in there even if it was a small roller bearing of the right size.
