Smooth out YZ 250 power
Made a transition from a KDX 200 to a 2000 YZ 250. Definintely like the bottom end grunt and extra ponies everywhere but having a little challenge getting used to the super quick throttle response...which I'm sure I'll love over time. So far I've put a 11 oz flywheel weight which helped a little. My friends say buy a KTM E/MXC if you want a trail bike but I love the suspension and handling. Is there a way to smooth out the powerband (I know the YZ already has one of the broadest power bands of the Jap. MXers) with a change in jetting, porting, pipe, etc.? I'm hoping to stay "blue" and not have to turn to the "orange" side. Dennis PS Bike has a SST pipe, turbine II, and carbon power reeds. I still have the stock pipe haning in the shop.
