That is not the issue, the issue is whether or not these biases are harmful or strip away the basic human rights of others. There are bigots of every race, social status, religion (atheist included), age, height, place of residence, brand of car or motorcycle, clothing, etc... What I'm saying is that people have a tendency to segregate themselves and try to distinguish those in which they are similar as superior in some way. Just as you stated, it is larger than merely black vs white vs middle-eastern vs asian. The tendency is to magnify the differences from one another as a way to determine superiority in some fashion, while in all reality the entire human race is irrefutably similar.
