U-C-L-A is coming. Hope they stumble at Stanford. Or Washington State. Perhaps Oregon. (Yes, in the Pac10 we actually play real football games, against real opponents, during the season).

Ducks, beavers,cardinals, TROJANS???? how can you expect us to take teams with those kind of names seriously? Being a Sooner fan and a UT fan (in that order) I think there is a good chance the #1 team will come from the OU/Nebraska game this weekend. The Horns blew their chance in the Cotton Bowl so now it's on to the Sooner bandwagon!:)

Yeah, I don't know why anyone would think the Big 12 is tough. OU has only played 8 top 10 teams in 20 games and several other top 25's! Although I gotta say I'd rather play UCLA than Miami. We always have a tough fight with Miami, plus it would feel good to whoop the Bruises in SoCal.

Pac 10 vs. Big 12

Why is it, at the start of the season, more Big 12 teams are ranked higher than Pac 10 teams, but at the end of the season more Pac 10 teams are ranked higher than Big 12 teams? :think

Of course this never happened when it was the Big 8... those former SWC teams must really suck! :scream:

Sounds like Wazzu may win the Apple Cup this year.

Wazzu looks tough. If the Bruins get through this schedule unbeaten, they'll be in the BCS championship game -- deservedly so. And then they'll win it. Team I'd most fear is Oklahoma. But, that's why that match up would be the best.

Think Miami will quit scheduling so many high school tune up games? :think

I'm a believer that they should wait til' week 4 to take the first polls, btw. Otherwise it's simply misplaced inertia that keeps certain teams overplaced -- every year.

They might just. Idaho played a lot closer to U-Dub than they did to Wazzu.
