Spacer for Exhaust?????

What happens if one was to leave the spacer out before attaching the exhaust to the motor? Also, can one use larger spacers, and what will be achieved? Thanks for your help!!

Not sure, but a I think the spacer gives more low end so no spacer would give more top end.

I read that if you use 4 of the exhaust spacers betweenn pipe an manifold the increased head pipe length makes delivery noticably torqier off the bottom. thxs Elsi_45

On my KX the pipe will rattle like heck if I run less than 2 spacers. I'm not sure that running without one wouldn't scar up the exhaust outlet due to the pipe vibrating. I can't tell a noticeable difference in power by running two spacers, but then again it has GORR power. :thumb:

Ahhn.. :silly:

What are those spacers you guys are talking about? My bike (97 RM 250) has only a o'ring type seal.

You're talking about the junction of the piep to the cylinder, isn't?
