So I just ordered some fancy new race tech springs for my forks. They are the biggest springs I can find for this bike! Race-tech is the only place that even SELLS a .48 for the KDX200. That said, am I going to wish I had upgraded my shock spring at the same time as the forks? The racetech site recommends a 5.6kg spring for my weight (260lbs), but how much softer is 5.0 really? Is a half a kg per mm really that much? It doesn't seem like it should be. I'm just not sure I want to shell out $100 if it's not really worth it for trail riding.

Is .12 kg/mm really that much stiffer for the forks?

In other words, yes, I would go stiffer on the shock spring as well. That's a 12% difference in spring rate, quite considerable.
