hello everyone, alrite heres the deal, i have a 50 tooth rear sprocket and an 11 tooth front sprocket that i purchased a little while ago, people have been telling me that since i mostly ride motocross stuff i should change it to a 12 tooth front, anyone agree with this or have any suggestions? thanks

Are you getting into top gear with the 11? If so, do you run out of revs? For acceleration purposes, the 11 is better. If you need more top speed, go for the 12. The 12 will also require less frequent shifting.

Stock is 12x50 for your bike. I've tried swapping sprockets ratios on several different bikes and finally came to the conclusion that the designers knew what they were doing and usually run stock size sprockets these days. If anything, I only go a tooth one way or the other on the rear. Going 1 tooth on the front for you is like 4 on the rear...that's a big change.

If you feel like you are shifting too much and the gears are too close together, then I'd change to the 12.
