My guess is that it would take a lot to stretch the frame to the point where you could notice.

Frames flex so they don't snap. Have'nt heard of any bending. Mines a 2000 and is absolutely spot on. Is yours all bent then?

This is a tough question to answer. I noticed I can no longer close my garage door after riding my YZ. Is frame stretch the reason?

If its magazine clap trap garbage your asking about, the pro's change frames like the rest of us change underware. Aluminum and Steel.

If the rest of us are fast enough to seriously stretch frames it is probably no issue. The various companies are standing in line aiting to give you bikes.

Showtime....The flex in the frame over time is what leads to an actual permanent stretch...If you look at alot of pro bikes you'll notice some added weldings at critical points on the frame to prevent excessive flexing....Of course these guys get new frame all the time so frame stretch is not an issue because they don't ride with the same frame for long enough...And the reason why they weld extra bracing on the frame is to keep it from breaking and to help performance...Pros ride hard enough to tax the frame in corners which can lead to inaccuracy down the straight away...

If you frequently do large jumps you get flex.....Or if you're a very fast rider who rides on spongy dirt you'll get a torsional flex in the corners...

Flex can be good and actually help smooth out the ride if it isn't excessive...
