After being rained out in January (yes rained out :whoa: ) the race was finally held on February 21, 2010. 60 teams made it for the new date and the track was 5.9 miles of winding on the lake ice. Lap times for the faster teams were around 8 minutes.

Spider raced on a stock 125 with 2 teammates for Chicken****e Racing and they placed 3rd in Lightweight bikes

Team Big Chicken****e Racing was on bike 67 (Sideplate 166) in middleweight

I am trying to figure out which rider he is but Blake Young from the superbike series was there. He wanted number 67 (which Big Chicken****e already had ) so I am guessing he was on the bike with #67 sideplates.
Spider fell in love with it as this was his first race and third or fourth time out on ice. He really liked that by the time his leg of the race came up the ice was really rutted and rough so he felt he was at a big advantage knowing how to (and being able to )stand up and absorb. There were also a couple ice heaves big enough he was catching air off of them while most of the guys being flat trackers were slowing down for them
I have a feeling next season we will have a set of studded tires ready to go  so come on up we have plenty of warm clothes for you to wear

Great slide show Dave. Congrats to Eric on his first ice race, hopefully many more to come. You could start a new trend like in the baha races, go and build jumps on the track when nobody is watching. Kinda like a tt on ice.
