Stolen Bike... help appreciated UPDATED - SEE BELOW

My friend’s bike was stolen from the bed of his pickup two nights ago. Someone cut his lock/chain and took his beloved dirt bike while he slept. It is a 1991 Kawasaki KX250 and it had black plastics except for the gas tank. These are very defining characteristics yet I fear they were most likely removed. It was stolen in Chico, California, but registered in Nevada

If anyone has information leading to the recovery of the bike, there will be a reward… no questions asked. Thanks for reading this and I appreciate your help!

He recently spent a lot of money on this bike, so it hits extra hard. :(

Damn, I'm sorry.

Does he have the VIN?

Can he print pictures and a description to take to the local shops?

Are there any parts that will likely need to be replaced soon that the parts guys at the local shops can look for?

good ideas... thanks, the only pic he ever showed me was one his mom took from 50ft away after she had it fixed for him...it was blurry too. I will check with him on info like VIN etc. Thanks for the input.

VIN # JKAKXMK12RA001007

It is a 1994 Kawasaki KX250 (not 1991 like I thought) and it had black plastics except for the gas tank. There is a shift sticker on the number plate and a California “out of state” OHV sticker 2003 on the inside left fork. KEEP YOUR AEYES PEELED EVERYONE - thank you!
