STOLEN from Pittsburgh,pa

We had two CR 250's stolen last night form our garage.
1997-VIN JH2ME0300VM900807
2001-VIN JH2ME03371M301469

We are poor and can only post a $200 reward.
the 01 bike had numer 85-looks like a professional race bike. chevy truck ama sticker on the plate and ama frame sticker.

The 97 is older looking bike with gold pro tapers

Both bikes have aftermarket pipes.

PITTSBURGH'rs KEEP A LOOK OUT FOR US PLEASE!!!!! We don't have any insurance on these 2 bikes.

That sucks man!! Your bike is sweet looking. How do I know? A friend and I were pitted next to you this past weekend at Steel City & we raced in the same class (you beat us both). When I read your post with the bike description, I checked the results and realized you were the same guy. We were #204 & #431 on RM’s. We are going to Challenger on the 11th and will make an extra trip around the pits and keep an eye out for your bikes. It had white hand guards on it too didn’t it? What area was it taken from?

Post the info everywhere like the tracks, riding areas and shops. Someone will see them, so make it impossible for them to ride the bikes. Good luck

Thanks for the help guys... the 01 cr is pretty destinctive. it has works guards, works clutch perch.. clean bbike... I hope it shows up. we are running through the woods today looking to see if someone stashed them.. He lives in the mt oliver area of pgh.

Post something on PITRACER.COM about it to. Alot of CRA and district 12 guy's check it out. Someone may try to dump it over there.

maybe they'll want to drive to the lower wayne national riding areas to sell it. might want to keep an eye out at popular spots like dorr run. that's not too far away from st clairesville, but far enough away to make the thieves feel safe.

I get sick to my stomach everytime I read about someone's bike getting stolen. It's really disgusting that people feel they can just take your hard earned bike away.

I'll keep my eyes open and check local shops too. Never hurts.

Thanks everyone for the reponses (it was my bikes that were stolen)

What a crappy day! I am so mad it hurts. I spent a good two hours riding all over the South side of PGH hoping to get lucky and find my bikes. I actually followed two "suspicious" looking guys that drove near my house. They were driving a Uhaul Van.
So thanks to all that responded. I know there isn't much of a chance of getting them back. The worst part is I still owe on the 01 and I was hoping to get a good $2500 out of the '97. Now I have a bill to pay and no bike to ride. Probably won't be able to afford another one this spring.

Check out ebay. Alot of people try to sell bikes there fast and cheap. You can do a Honda search to keep an eye out. Good luck.

Fund Raising??

I don't know if I am allowed to ask this or not but it can't hurt. With Lrice still owing money on his loan for the bike that was STOLEN, this is going to prevent him from riding thoughout next year. If he would post his address to us we could come together and help him with a buck or two to help get him riding again this spring. sofar there have been about 140 views on this thread. At 5 bucks per view that would pay off part of his loan. What does everyone think.?;)
