Strait pipe

Hi guys I was wondering if it is stupid to replace my old silencer (cracked all to peices) with just some straight pipe that I would fabricate. Will I loose power without backpressure? I will be loud but I don't care.

Ya you will loose power, some hearing, and someone else will loose a place to ride.
I think your wondering is, um,.. accurate.

With all the people that replace thier exaust with aftermarket ones, I bet you could pick 1 up quite cheap. Ive seen them on ebay in the $10 range. Oh ya, you would loose performance on the backpreasure issue. Post here in the parts forum, and see what is offered up.
