I am in the process of redoing my top end and I can't seem to get one of my cylinder bolts off. It is in a tight area so I can't use vice grips or a socket. It is slightly rounded so a box wrench doesnt fit on it. I tried fileing it down to fit the box wrench on, but that didn't work. What should I do  ?

While thinking about which tool to use, put a little penetrating oil to work on the nut. By the time you figure out how to get a grip on it, perhaps it'll be a bit easier to remove.

I believe Sears has a new socket that'll do the job for ya'. Works a bit like a die, in that it has cutting edges that bite into the nut.

Warm up the nut as well, might help too.

And while your at it.....

Put the other nuts back on and torque 'em down. This will help relieve some of the tension on the remaining stud. Then take the rounded one off first.

Heat works great, but sometimes it gets, "oxidized" (metal against almn.) Heat it and if you can, "rap" it with a hammer to shock it free. Put some grease or never seize on it when you get it out.
If you go the vise grip path, it'll ruin the head all together, (That's aways my last resort), I've beat a six pointed socket (non-metric)on the rounded off head and was able to get it off.
Always used a 6 point socket to break the bolts loose, then a 12 point to get it off

Yeah, an impact screw driver! I didn'd think of that trick!
I had a '72 Harley Rapido 125 that I think came from AMF with stripped heads and I had to use that like all the time! It was my favorite tool!
