Has anyone rode this area since it has opened? I was just wondering what the terrain and trials are like. Thanks to anyone who post a ride report. :)

There about 15 miles South of Paris. I haven't been able to go yet but hopefully soon. I am going to call the lady who owns it and asker her about 1 day prices like on a Friday or so. The way they have the pricing listed it shows prices for staying for 3 days, Friday thru Sunday but not for just Friday.

I sent them an email letting them know how much more expensive they are than the competition.

Seems like way too much $$$ for undeveloped riding. That's fun in a way, trailblazing and all, but not for the $$$....and considering the distance from DFW....I think I'd just go to BMRA for the distance and $$$.

Are these the guys that just opened recently? I'm wondering if they're trying to recoup some costs before they drive prices down to a more reasonable level... at least I hope that's the case.

"recoup some costs before they drive prices down to a more reasonable level"

A little wishful thinking huh? Things tend to work in the quite the opposite fashion.

Yeah, with some companies, if you're not selling x amount of a product, the price has to go up so you don't lose profits. But, with something like this, there shouldn't be many more costs incurred so you'd figure they could afford to lower prices in an effort to get more customers. Beats me :coocoo:

I dropped tham a line about the high cost also. Maybe when they get some feedback, they will reconsider there pricing.

Went to checkered Flag today and Scott the owner of the shop told me that they have lowered the price to $15.00 a day . He said that there aren't much trails there . But he was asking me if I knew how to put on a enduro race or cross country race . I guess they are interested in doing that . So maybe there will be some trails there one day .

Putting on a cross country is not too difficult. If you've raced enough of them, you could promote one. I'm not sure if Paris falls into the distance range that is acceptable in TCCRA or TORO though, it's definately pushing it.

I like it. It's not as good as Barnwell or Muenster but it is getting better and it's 80 to 110 miles closer to me. I have talked to the owner quite a bit and there trying to get a Toro race there. She told me that Toro was ready to come but they were have problems with their insurance OK'ing it. Email them and let them know you'd be interested in a Toro race.
