The acting was pretty decent, the production was well done, story line had good conflict and high and low moments but wasn't that good overall. The real failing comes from the fact as a motorcycle movie that actually is about motorcycles and not just using motorcycles as a story vehicle (yes I know it's a pun but didn't know how to say it properly without it) it does not attract non-motorcycle fans. Non-motorcycle fans would probably would be less critical of the story line, but real dirtbike fans know just how unbelievable the story line is.

i finally saw it. for the most part, i agree with these statements. if you expect too much, you won't like it. the acting was okay, the characters generally likeable, and the girls were believably pretty, not supermodels. the supermoto shots from the bike-mounted cameras were awesome. overall, i liked it and will buy it. if you liked "winners take all", this will be an oscar winner to you.

did you "motocrossed" fans catch alana austin's bit part? it was humorous.

wow I thought my dog was a better actor than these guys, oh well different strokes for different folks. I do "own" it though thanks to netflix and dvddecrypter. I also own winners take all and motocrossed, what ever happened to supercrossed that I thought they were doing? did this supercross the movie take it's place?

Here's a little known factoid: GETMETOCA and GoSpeedRacer were unpaid "extras" in the movie. Did you see us? :)

We just saw the movie last night. The boys enjoyed it.
Nat - So what part were you in? I think I was looking for you and GSR more than watching the movie.

They have always made movies about things I love to do and they are just like this. When I was younger and into skateboarding, there was Gleaming the Cube with Christian Slater. I think as far as movies go today, it was pretty cool. Not totally realistic. But better than most of the rehashed crap that Hollywood is cranking out these days.

I thought some of the racing action was good and made the move tolerable.

The acting was bad and the dialog was worse. The plot line about the idiot factory rider/son of the idiot factory owner was, well, idotic. But the worst part of the movie was the 'romances' between the brothers and their girls. Awkward and totally unbelievable.

I think Supercross: The Movie does as good a job bringing our sport to the general public as , say , Days of Thunder did for Speed Channel, ummm I mean NASCAR; but on a much smaller budget hence the little bits of cheese in the movie by lesser known lesser paid actors/actresses. Yes there was the 4 stroke 2 stroke swap on more than one occasion, but c'mon you had Carmichael, Windahm, Ping, Castillo and more and I think seeing Tyler Evans anywhere near the front of the pack was worth the price of admission.
